Commensalism- Glass Shrimp & Chocolate Chip Sea Star- The glass shrimp will attach to the chocolate chip sea star and take on its coloration. This helps the glass shrimp camouflage itself so its not eaten.
Mutualism- Anemone & Clownfish- The anemone provides a home for the clownfish and the clownfish can help the anemone catch prey by luring other fish toward the anemone. Parasitism- Trematode & Snail- A trematode is a parasitic worm. When a trematode hosts on a snail, it affects the snail’s reproduction for life. The snail looks and behaves normally but instead of reproducing snails, it reproduces parasites instead. Predation- The reef shark and a fish. The reef shark is the predator that eats the fish/ prey. |
